Page Title

St Paul’s is an Anglican community made up of people of different backgrounds, and experiences. We celebrate the wide range of stories that we each bring.  We come from Aotearoa, Sri Lanka, Great Britain, Asia, South Africa, Wales, Rwanda, China, the Pacific and many other places.

We are here to tell the story of the love and liberation we find in Jesus; as whanau and as disciples.  We share the call to serve the last, the lost and the least, alongside our wider Anglican Whanau.

The Story of Jesus is one of love, grace, hope, peace, and freedom.

It is a story that starts with a Middle Eastern baby, born of parents who then fled to escape persecution. It is a story of a rag tag bunch of followers (we call them the Disciples), whom Jesus called friends, carrying his message far and wide.

It is at the heart of all those who, like those first followers, are walking in his footsteps today.

As followers of Jesus, we celebrate the intertwining of his story, with the stories of Aotearoa, our local community and all who call St Paul's home.

We see this best expressed in communion, and which is why all are welcome to share in the bread, wine (or juice) each week.

Like all churches, we find ourselves rediscovering how, as a church, we move forward in a country that is undergoing change in many areas of life.

As with the early disciples we find ourselves praying more, dreaming more, and trusting in The Lord’s leading.

We love our community, and we know that The Lord continues to lead us as we find ways to serve it in new ways.
